Competition
General Guidelines
Competitions are open to any member or guest in attendance. If submitting an image, please...
- Adhere to the assigned topic.
- Images will be scored and the 1st through 3rd place winners will be recognized (top 3 vote-receivers).
- After competition, results will be available for review.
- Competitions will include some form of comment and critique, the purpose of which is to encourage the maker to improve their photography, and as such should be offered gently and constructively. Please see Critique for additional details and guidance.
Print Competition
- Entries must be submitted prior to the start of the competition.
- Clearly write your name and image title on the back of the print, no text or maker's marks on the front of the print.
- Photographs must be in either a mounted or matted, unframed form, and at least 8"X10" in size.
Digital Competition (In-Person & Remote)
- Rename your image file to match the image title. Example: SnowInWinter.jpeg.
- Please submit your digital image file as an email attachment.
- In your email, include the competition date and image title.
- If your email gives you file size options, please choose "Actual".
- Digital submissions should be in JPEG format, 3MB to 6MB in size. If your camera's highest resolution is less than 3MB, please send your camera's largest file size option. The deadline for image submission is midnight, the evening before competition.
